Nature's exquisite gift

About Grove Mill

The Grove Mill story begins in 1988, when the Marlborough region was first beginning to establish its reputation for wines of unparalleled intensity and purity.

With its stony soils, hot summer days and cool autumn nights, conditions were perfect for the creation of distinctive white and red wines.

But the Grove Mill founders had a vision that went much further than simply capitalising on Marlborough’s natural advantages. Long before carbon neutrality became fashionable, they set out to produce a range of premium wines with minimal impact on the environment. As a result of their efforts, in 2006 Grove Mill became the world’s first carboNZeroCertTM certified winery. That commitment still stands.

We follow world-class sustainable practices in the way we manage our vineyards and winery. This care is symbolised by the Southern Bell Frog – now thriving in the wetland we have established.

Grove Mill is a part of The New Zealand WIne Company Ltd, a publically listed company on the NZAX.
