Pinot Noir 2009
Winemaker's notes
This is a typical example of the Grove Mill Pinot Noir style. It is a complex wine with very ripe fruit well integrated into very good quality French oak.
Bouquet: Dark! Great fruit intensity; cheery, berry, plum and possibly violets. Toasty oak and coffee. Complex and appealing.
Palate: Rich ripe fruit gives a very sweet entry onto the palate. Good attractive tannin structure. Good weight and length, making this a well rounded, serious wine.

Wine & food matches
My first thoughts were for wild pork. The wine will also go well with rabbit, hare, game birds, duck turkey, tuna, swordfish and turbot. And wild mushrooms. Its also pretty good by itself.
Cellaring
Lovely in its youth, the wine will also cellar well for up to ten years.
