Grove Mill has been a pioneer of sustainable winemaking practices in New Zealand. From the very first years of our operation, we have sought to create premium wines that are produced in such a way to minimise our impact on the environment.
A wetland has been successfully established beside our winery, which serves as the refuge to our golden mascot, the Southern Bell Frog. We have also invested in energy efficient production processes, BioGro organic certification and low-carbon production.
In 2006, Grove Mill became the world’s first carboNZeroCertTM winery, in recognition of our achievements in minimising and offsetting CO2 emissions. We take as much care to operate sustainably as we do to create the finest possible wines.
After all, nowhere on earth produces vintages like the Marlborough region. We simply want to protect that natural advantage for generations to come.
