We are producers of premium, cool climate style wines including, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris sourcing our fruit from over 200 hectares of vineyards throughout the Marlborough area.
This is where you come into the picture…
We are looking for two Technical Cellar Hands with the following:
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Operate RDV, Crossflow (Xflow) and floatation equipment and carry out rackings, inoculations and other vintage cellar operations with minimal supervision.
Carry out cellar operations across grape receival, processing, wine transfers, dispatch and cleaning
Operate winery equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures and safe work practices
Complete production records and cellar documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain wine quality and product integrity throughout all cellar operations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all cellar areas
Contribute to continuous improvement in cellar operations and safe working practices
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Skills and Experience Required
Previous cellar experience, including at least one vintage
Practical experience operating RDV, floatation and Xflow equipment
Experience with wine receival and dispatch, including tanker operations
Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately
Ability to work safely, efficiently and under pressure while managing multiple tasks
Ability to communicate effectively in English and work well with others
A positive can-do attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a team
A wine-related qualification and a current forklift licence would be an advantageous but are not essential
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
What do we provide?
Aside from the unique opportunity to work with one of New Zealand’s most revered wine companies, you will experience vintage with a great team of winemakers and viticulturists.
Pay range $26.00-$28.00 / hour
Shifts are typically 12 hours, 6 days per week during fruit receival
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
A delicious meal with a sweet treat, and snacks are provided during 12-hour shifts
Shared transport to and from the winery
Support with finding accommodation
